Quality Hotel Match Jönköping

Hotel Match is the newest hotel in Jönköping (August 2022) — and what a location! It sits right by Lake Vättern, and most rooms offer some form of lake view. If you want to be sure of getting a room with spectacular views, choose a Deluxe Double Room, where large windows give you an amazing panorama over the water. The suites, of course, are located at the very top of the hotel. The building rises 17 floors and features a fully equipped gym.

Location

Quality Hotel Match is located in the historic Matchstick District; “Tändsticksområdet“. This is where match production began nearly 200 years ago. Today, it’s a charming area filled with bars, restaurants, galleries, and small shops. There’s also a lovely little Match Museum; Tändsticksmuseet if you want to learn more about the history of Jönköping and Sweden.

Arriving by train? The hotel is just a stone’s throw from the station. It’s also close to Resecentrum and Juneporten, a hub for other public transport. If you’re arriving by car, parking is available underneath the hotel in the Gradienten parking garage.

Restaurant and bar

Hotel Match has its own restaurant; NÒR, serving Nordic cuisine with a twist. Breakfast is served here as well. You’ll also find a bar, shuffleboard, and more, all in a warm and cozy setting. On weekdays, an excellent lunch is served too.

The hotel

In addition to its 229 hotel rooms, there are also conference facilities (10 in total), a relaxation area with an outdoor hot tub (with a view), and much more. Even though the hotel is very centrally located, there’s a convenient LobbyShop where you can grab a snack or a small necessity without leaving the building.

Pets are welcome for an additional fee — just remember to mention that you’re bringing your pet(s) when booking so you’ll be assigned a pet-friendly room.
Free Wi-Fi is, of course, available throughout the hotel.

Rooms

Standard Double Rooms measure 15 sqm and come with either a 160 cm double bed or two single beds. Superior Double Rooms are slightly larger at 18 sqm. If you want guaranteed lake views, Deluxe Double Rooms (20 sqm) are recommended, featuring large windows overlooking Lake Vättern. There are also suites at 32 sqm, located at the very top (18th floor).

Family Rooms are available for up to four guests (20 sqm). These are equipped with two 90 cm beds and a sofa bed (120 cm) or two extra beds. If you need even more space, there are also connecting rooms with additional beds.

Something that stands out a bit is that Gaming Rooms are available to book. These rooms come equipped with gaming gear and a range of different games, a fun way to surprise the gamer in the family.
