Vox Hotel Jönköping

Latest update: 20 March 2026

Vox Hotel first opened its doors in late 2014, created by an entrepreneur who wanted to bring something new and fresh to Jönköping. It later became part of the Strawberry group but has kept its unique name.

In the hotel lounge there is plenty of space if you need to get some work done without staying in your room, with both free WiFi and power outlets available.

If you are looking for a touch of extra luxury, we recommend a Deluxe room with large windows facing Lake Vättern. Very romantic.

Location

Vox Hotel is centrally located in the eastern part of Jönköping city centre. You have a shopping street right outside the door. In addition to its central location, some rooms offer uninterrupted views of Lake Vättern. The hotel is about 600 metres from Jönköping Resecentrum for trains and buses. If you arrive by car, there are several parking garages within a few hundred metres.

If you are travelling by public transport, the nearest bus stop is just a few hundred metres away at Rådhusparken. From here you can easily reach Asecs shopping centre, Elmia exhibition centre, Huskvarna and more.

Restaurant

Vox has a well regarded restaurant, and in the same cosy setting a popular breakfast buffet is served. The restaurant is open daily from 17.00 and is suitable whether you are staying at the hotel or just visiting. The breakfast at Vox is, in our view, one of the better hotel breakfasts in Jönköping.

Just outside the hotel you will find Stuk, known for its cinnamon buns and semlor during the season, a perfect stop if you want to recharge with something sweet.

Rooms

At Vox there are rooms for everyone. If you are looking for the lowest price, Vox Smart offers small and affordable rooms without windows that are still comfortable. If you want to treat yourself, there are Deluxe rooms on higher floors with floor to ceiling windows facing Lake Vättern, perfect to share with someone special. For the highest level of luxury, there is the Balcony Suite and the impressive Vox Grand Suite with a total of 80 square metres.

All rooms feature comfortable waterfall showers. Children up to 12 years stay free when sharing a bed with their parents. Extra beds can be booked in Standard Room Plus and in the suites.

At the hotel

Breakfast is included with all room types and all rooms have a TV. Breakfast is served from 06.00 on weekdays and from 07.00 on weekends. If you need to iron your clothes, there is an ironing room with a steamer on every floor. For those who want to work out, there is a gym on the sixth floor with great views over Lake Vättern.

What visitors think

The central location, just steps from Lake Vättern and less than a ten minute walk from the station, is frequently highlighted as a major advantage, along with the modern design and lake views in the higher category rooms.
Breakfast consistently receives high praise for its wide selection and fresh ingredients, and the restaurant and bar area is often described as an experience in itself. Staff are regularly commended for their friendly and solution oriented service.
Guests also appreciate the comfortable beds and the small but well equipped gym with views over the lake.
On the downside, some reviews mention extremely small or completely windowless basement rooms, noise or drafts from loud ventilation or air conditioning, and occasional late night disturbances in certain parts of the hotel.
Several guests also find the parking inconvenient and expensive, note that breakfast items are not always replenished quickly enough, that housekeeping can be inconsistent, and that prices are considered high during peak periods.

Parking

There are several parking options connected to or very close to the hotel. You can use Vox Hotel’s own parking with direct access to the hotel for 275 SEK per day. There is also Parking Garage Aktern, just 100 metres away, for 300 SEK per day, or Parking House Sesam around 150 metres away for 140 SEK per day.
Charging for electric vehicles is available at Parking House Sesam.
